Work Experience is always important, especially now in our current economic climate.  Therefore, gaining more work related experience is likely to gives our pupils an advantage in the labour market when they leave full-time education.

It is a placement with an employer for a period of one week, where our pupils learn about a particular job. While working they are able to find out about the types of skills employers look for when they are contracting someone for a vacant job.

This opportunity also gives are pupils the chance to develop communication skills and self confidence.

Work Experience usually takes place in February for Year 10 pupils.

 

Pupils are encouraged to find their own placement, however there are also a large selection of workplaces offered by our work experience partner Enfield Skills for Work Service.

 

Pupils are required to go to an interview with your work experience placement provider, which helps prepares you for future interviews.
