Broomfield School pupils in Year 10 enjoyed a free lunch in the buttery and listened to a private Admissions talk in the 15th century chapel at Queens’ College at the University of Cambridge. Mrs Chatterton is currently completing her Masters at the college as a part-time graduate student and she was delighted to invite ambitious pupils to share the experience. We were given a tour and saw the accommodation for students, who live for two out of three years in the college as undergraduates. It was particularly exciting because Her Majesty the Queen had visited just the day before. Mrs Hormann who also came, really enjoyed the day and took the lovely pictures. The Broomfield Year 10 pupils are interested in reading a whole range of subjects from Science, Engineering, to English and Mathematics.
