Year 9 Options

At Broomfield we believe that it is important for pupils to experience the full breadth of subject available during KS3, for the full three years in line with the National curriculum.

Our pupils are asked to make their GCSE Option choices in the Spring term of Year Nine, and begin the courses at the start of Year 10. We support our pupils in making the right choices for them in the following ways:

  • GCSE Information assemblies for different subjects,

  • Parents' Evening for Year 9 in February/ March each year,

  • Options Evening for pupils and their families to discuss the option available and best choices for them with our staff,

  • Dedicated time with our independent Careers Advisor for each pupil.

Our 2022 Year 9 Options Evening was held on  Tuesday 1st March 2022, a recording of this is below. All pupils have been given Assemblies by our various Heads of Departments which can be viewed on our Youtube Channel and the Options Booklet contains details of all the subject options that we are considering offering in September.

 

Once your child has decided on their choices please compete the Options Form on Google Classroom, by 25th March 2022.
