British Science week-March 8th-17th, Broomfield Science department took the opportunity to celebrate with its students 50 years since the first man landed on the moon as well as 150 years of Periodic table. A range of activities including poster competitions, Periodic table quiz, challenge to learn the most elements, as well as science lessons where KS3 students got to carry out a range of inspiring experiments. The week was full of a Science buzz with students admiring displayed competition posters, exploring chemical reactions in a lab or challenging each other with their new found knowledge of elements from the Periodic table.
For our year 9 and KS4 students, Stem Ambassadors were invited to inspire and enlighten our students of the different pathways for STEM careers.
