Remembering the lives lost in world wars today, pupils from Broomfield School accompanied Ms Christofi and Mrs Chatterton to the moving ceremony in the garden of remembrance at Broomfield Park where we heard Bowes Primary children singing 'The White Cliffs of Dover'. Before Tom and Maria from Year 9, laid a wreath, Vasili and Niki read poems to the silent audience. The beautiful service was led by Reverend Hoyle from Christ Church in Southgate and Bambos Charalambous MP made a speech at the end, appealing for us all "never to forget".
At the going down of the sun.
