The Trial of Galileo

The Broomfield Law Society meets online and re-enacts famous historical trials. Pupils learn to read about famous characters and play the role of the Judge, defendant or witnesses. Galileo was ordered to turn himself in to the Holy Office to begin trial for holding the belief that the Earth revolves around the sun.
