Broomfield Philosophy Society pupils grappled with Existentialism in our May session tonight. Our Philosophers decided to take an optimistic stance on Sartre's concepts that 'existence precedes essence'. They saw that taking responsibility for ourselves could be an opportunity to live an 'authentic' life of self-discovery.
