Debating in Cambridge Union

Eight members of the Broomfield Debating Society went four rounds against pupils aged 12-18 from around the country all day on Saturday 28th January in the Cambridge Schools debating tournament, inside the Cambridge Union. The debates included defending strict parenting, changing corrupt governments, the rise of social media and who should decide on criminal justice legislation. Mrs Chatterton, our debating coach, had a wonderful day watching all the teams making great speeches.
