Three pupils from Broomfield School went through to Round 2 of the Churchill Public Speaking competition yesterday, held in person at City of London School for Girls. Mrs Chatterton set up Broomfield Speakers' Club in September and we have already enjoyed a visiting speaker from the House of Lords, Baroness Lola Young of Hornsey, plus two rounds of the Churchill Public Speaking competition. Niki spoke eloquently about why 'Fiction teachers us more than facts' while Nancy and Rayan presented and questioned a team from City of London School for Girls.
