The Year 7 boys resumed their football season after a winter break, despite the conditions being very wintery. Strong winds and cold temperature would put some people off but not these determined year 7 boys.
From the moment the school bell went, the boys carried a professional attitude, arriving to changing rooms on time, completing a wonderful warm up led by captain Christian and paying the game in wonderful spirit with along with the opposition.
The game itself was a tight contest for the opening quarter, however Heron Hall scored couple of quick goals both sides of half time to put them in a commanding position.
Despite this Broomfield did not show any sign of dropping their heads and they applied significant pressure on Heron Hall's goal in the final quarter.
Notable mention must be given to Goalkeeper Samsoor who produced 8 remarkable saves in what was his debut!
Continuation of this mature attitude is likely to lead to progress in the long term future for the boys, so anticipate exciting times ahead for this team
