Eighteen Broomfield Law and Debating society members enjoyed a guided tour of the House of Commons and the House of Lords on Friday 22nd April. This gave us a fascinating insight into the highest debating and legal chambers in the country. We learned about the tradition of 'Black Rod', the 'Speaker's Mace' and how not to sit down unless we are an elected MP.
