1. 'The Lego Batman Movie' (2017)
The Lego films are pretty awesome across the board, yet this one is special. Everybody loves Batman, and the animated movie sends up his dark and macho persona from more adult movies by putting the Caped Crusader through his nightmare: actually needing a family.
2. Bird Box
Post-apocalyptic horror Bird Box has now arrived on Netflix to give you some chills before Christmas. Based on Josh Malerman's book of the same name,Bird Box stars Sandra Bullock as Malorie, a woman who is struggling to survive with her two children after a mysterious force kills off most of the world's population. This is a great one!
3. I Am Mother
I Am Mother is a sci-fi thriller about a teenage girl (Clara Rugaard), who is the first of a new generation of humans to be raised byMother(Rose Byrne), a robot designed to repopulate the earth after the extinction of humankind. Don't worry, it isn't a creepy one.
4. The Farewell (Amazon)
I know what you’re thinking: a movie about a sick grandma … in this climate? But get past your reservations and you’ll find a perfectly calibrated dramedy about a family coming together in a time of crisis. And ultimately, it’s a movie about a millennial (Awkwafina) who learns that her parents were right — a message the whole family can enjoy!
5. The Lego Movie 2
The much-anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed, global box office phenomenon that started it all, "The LEGO (R) Movie 2: The Second Part," reunites the heroes of Bricksburg in an all new action-packed adventure to save their beloved city. If you haven't watched the first one, do so because it is worth it!
